“BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) – A significant push for donations is under way by Brunswick Beer and Cider and Wrightsville Beach Brewery, all aimed at aiding Boone storm victims.
They began gathering contributions on Sunday morning, and the response increased substantially by Monday. By Tuesday, several vehicles, among them a truck provided by 2 Men and a Truck, were brimming with donations destined for those affected by the storm.
Ian Phillips, the General Manager of the brewery and a Boone native, expressed astonishment at the overwhelming response to their call for donations. He said, “We put the call out with the expectation of filling a couple of trailers, but we never anticipated nearing the capacity of an 18-wheeler.”
Phillips continued, “The donations received on Monday pretty much filled every available space in this brewery, as well as at Wrightsville Beach. The willingness of people to assist with transportation has been truly overwhelming.”
Even now, if you wish to contribute, you can drop off your donations at Megacorp until 5:00 pm Tuesday.”
