Title: “Fall Fun at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church: 35th Annual Pumpkin Patch Offers Unique Pumpkins and Community Support”

Headline: “Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church Hosts 35th Annual Pumpkin Patch Fundraiser”

Wilmington residents are invited to partake in the beloved tradition of selecting the perfect pumpkin at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church’s annual pumpkin patch. Situated on College Road, the church’s courtyard is transformed into a festive pumpkin haven, marking the 35th year of this community event.

Operated in partnership with Pumpkins USA, all pumpkins are unique and offer a varied selection for visitors to choose from. Proceeds from the pumpkin sales contribute to fundraising efforts for local churches, with a portion of the funds benefitting ministries. Pricing for the pumpkins is based on individual selection, reflecting the diverse range of shapes, sizes, and characteristics of each pumpkin.

Expressing her enthusiasm for the pumpkin patch, Pastor Becca Detterman shared her aspiration for the event to be a great success, with a goal of selling out the pumpkins available. To accommodate the high demand, the church has arranged for three trucks of pumpkins and will keep the patch open daily until Halloween. In the event of any remaining pumpkins after the holiday, a pay-what-you-can system will be implemented to ensure that all pumpkins find a home.

For a unique experience at the pumpkin patch, visitors can book appointments for story time and scavenger hunts, adding an extra layer of fun and engagement to their visit. Appointments can be scheduled by sending an email to pumpkins@welcometowesleyumc.org, offering a personalized and enjoyable outing for families and individuals looking to embrace the spirit of fall.
