“Community Efforts in Western North Carolina: Local Donations Mobilize for Disaster Relief”

“Local Donations Continue for Western North Carolina Disaster Relief
Amid ongoing disaster relief efforts in Western North Carolina, the ‘Baptists on Mission’ organization is actively collecting donations to assist those impacted. They are working to load 18-wheeler tractor trailers that will be dispatched to distribution centers in the Black Mountain area.
Seagate Baptist Church on Oleander Drive in Wilmington is serving as a collection point for donations, welcoming a wide range of items and emphasizing the value of dry goods contributions. Donors can drop off items from Monday to Friday between 9 AM and 7 PM. Senior Pastor Steven Smith of Seagate Baptist Church stresses the long-term commitment to aiding those affected, drawing on his extensive experience in disaster relief and recovery efforts.
Additionally, WWAY’s TV station in Leland, located at 1224 Magnolia Village Way, will also accept donations during regular business hours as part of the ‘Wilmington Response’ nonprofit initiative. This effort is further bolstering relief operations by sending multiple trucks filled with supplies to Lenoir to support the recovery and rebuilding process for those in need.”
