COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday night the arrest of 47-year-old Lance Arrington Sandlin IV from Delco, who has been charged with the murder of 38-year-old Shanna Denise Perry, also of Delco.
Currently, Sandlin is being held without bond at the Columbus County Detention Center.
The investigation into Perry’s disappearance began in May 2024. Despite extensive search efforts and thousands of man-hours committed to locating her, the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that she is still missing.
The investigation has received assistance from the NC State Bureau of Investigation, and the sheriff’s office stated that they will continue their efforts to find Perry. Authorities suspect that multiple individuals may have been involved in her disappearance and indicated that further arrests could take place as the investigation unfolds.
