COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday evening the arrest of 47-year-old Lance Arrington Sandlin IV from Delco, who has been charged with the murder of 38-year-old Shanna Denise Perry, also from Delco.
Sandlin is currently being held without bond at the Columbus County Detention Center.
The investigation into Perry’s disappearance began in May 2024, and despite extensive searches and hundreds of hours dedicated to locating her, the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office reports that she remains missing.
The investigation is being supported by the NC State Bureau of Investigation, and authorities have stated that efforts to locate Perry will continue. They suspect that multiple individuals may have played a role in her disappearance, and additional arrests could occur as the investigation unfolds.
