Elizabethtown, NC (WWAY) – Significant changes are underway for the N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles’ license plate agency in Elizabethtown. The current operators have announced their retirement, leading to the closing of the agency by the end of September.
On Sept 30, at precisely 5:00 pm, the agency will no longer be serving customers.
Nevertheless, residents still have options. Three nearby license plate agencies continue to offer service from Monday to Friday, operating from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., holidays excluded. These facilities are:
– Lumberton at 118 W. Fifth St.
– Whiteville at 201 E. Main St.
– and the Wallace agency at 112 Medical Village Dr., Unit C.
In addition, many vehicle services, including property tax payments and registration renewals, are available online. To avail of these services, residents can visit MyNCDMV.gov.
