“Local Moving Company Provides Aid to Storm-Ravaged Western North Carolina: Stories of Resilience and Compassion”

In Brunswick County, NC, a local moving company has sprung into action to deliver essential supplies to the storm-battered region of western North Carolina. Owner Jeff Moss of College HUNKS Hauling Junk & Moving expressed his commitment to providing aid during this critical time, sharing the meaningful stories that have driven their efforts.

Moss coordinated a donation drop-off site that quickly amassed an impressive 7,600 pounds of supplies within just 24 hours. Overwhelmed by the stories and urgent need, Moss and his team made their initial delivery to Hickory, with no plans to stop their relief missions. One poignant story Moss shared involved a helicopter pilot’s persistent efforts to rescue a family amidst their desperate attempts to salvage belongings from their trailer.

Jim Robertson, a close associate of Moss, reflected on the impactful work being carried out in western North Carolina to ensure help reaches those most in need. Describing the scene at a local church where donations were organized and distributed, Robertson highlighted the heartwarming unity and resilience displayed by volunteers in the face of adversity.

Continuing their dedicated efforts, another truck was loaded with supplies weighing over 10,000 pounds. Donations are set to be collected on Wednesday at various locations to further support the ongoing relief operations in Hickory and surrounding areas.
