“Leland Hosts Lend a Hand Event to Promote Community Service”
Over the weekend, the town of Leland saw a display of community spirit as residents joined hands for the Lend a Hand event, a day dedicated to giving back. This town-wide day of service aimed to involve community members in various volunteer activities tailored to meet local needs.
The Town of Leland collaborated with multiple organizations to offer a diverse array of projects suitable for volunteers of all ages and interests. Participants were able to select from a range of tasks, such as tree planting and participating in clean-up initiatives to benefit the community.
Kelli Newton, Budget and Strategy Manager at the Town of Leland, expressed her enthusiasm for the event, emphasizing the town’s commitment to giving back and uniting community members alongside local nonprofits for a day of service.
For those who were unable to attend this year’s Lend a Hand event, there is good news: another day of service is scheduled for March 22, providing a future opportunity for community involvement and giving back.
