A Wilmington man, identified as Antonial White Jr., has been arrested and charged by the Wilmington Police Department for alleged incidents involving kidnapping and discharging a firearm. According to police reports, White forcibly entered a nearby residence, brandished a gun at the occupant, and purportedly assaulted him with the weapon. Subsequently, White reportedly compelled the victim to transport him to an undisclosed location amid the confrontation.
In a concerning turn of events, it is claimed that White discharged a firearm into the air following a brief verbal altercation. Additionally, during the arrest process, White is said to have menaced and spat on a law enforcement officer. The charges brought against White encompass a range of serious offenses, including burglary, kidnapping, possession of a firearm by a felon, reckless discharge of a firearm, malicious behavior while in custody, making threats, and carrying a weapon in a threatening manner.
Currently, White is detained without the option for bond at the NHSO Detention Center as legal proceedings progress.
