In recent developments, a man has entered a guilty plea to drug trafficking charges following his apprehension at a Carolina Beach gas station in 2023. The incident transpired when local Carolina Beach law enforcement officers responded to a call regarding an unconscious individual situated in the passenger seat of a vehicle at the Scotchman gas station on Canal Drive. Upon arrival, officers encountered Andrew Holman, aged 41, alongside his girlfriend in a state of lethargy while their vehicle remained parked at the gas pump. Subsequent investigations unveiled that Holman was wanted on an outstanding warrant in Durham.
