Tragic Shooting Incident in Clarkton Under Investigation by Columbus County Sheriff’s Office
Over the weekend, a shooting incident in Clarkton has left one individual deceased and another injured, prompting an investigation by the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office. Responding to a call reporting the shooting at 126 Timber Creek Trail just prior to 10 pm on Saturday, deputies arrived at the scene to discover two males with gunshot wounds.
Upon inspection, law enforcement identified Harry Hardie Jr., one of the males, as unresponsive in the driveway, confirming his unfortunate demise. The second male, Anthony Lee Jr., was found conscious with a gunshot wound and was promptly attended to by authorities. Notably, two firearms were discovered on the ground near the victims and were subsequently collected as evidence to aid in the ongoing investigation.
